1st separate tank brigade

The formation of tank troops as part of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the organizational and personnel structure, the brigade is part of the Operational Command "North".

After the declaration of Ukraine's independence, the 292nd Guards Tank Novgorod Red Banner of the Orders of Kutuzov, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Oleksandr Nevsky and the Red Star Regiment of the 72nd Mechanized Division became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the eve of this, in 1990, the regiment was relocated from the place of permanent deployment of the division in the city of Bila Tserkva (Kyiv region) to the village of Goncharivske (Chernihiv region). The number of military vehicle 64517 was changed to military vehicle A1815.

Since March 2014, he has been participating in repelling Russian aggression. The brigade was raised on the alarm, the tankers advanced closer to the state border with the Russian Federation, in case of an invasion. They were in the area of ​​Gluhova, Pryluk, later - near Yarmolyntsi The 1st Separate Tank Siver Brigade defended Chernihiv during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
