The 10th separate mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss" (10th OGSHBr, military unit A4267, item B3950) is a military unit within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is based in the city of Kolomyia. The brigade was formed in the city of Bila Tserkva on October 1, 2015. The main purpose of the brigade is to conduct combat operations in mountainous and forested areas.
From February 25 to March 6, soldiers from the training ground in Novoyavorivsk moved to the Volyn direction. There, the fighters had the task of preventing a possible offensive of the Russian Federation from the territory of Belarus.
From February 25, 2022, the 8th separate mountain assault battalion was in the Kyiv direction in the reserve of the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In March, soldiers of the 10th OGSHBr carried out assault operations and took control of several settlements — Rudnitske, Lukyanivka, Lukashi.
After the liberation of the north of Ukraine, the 10th OGSHBr was transferred to Donetsk region, where, in particular, the brigade distinguished itself in the defense of Soledar and nearby areas.
By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 80/2023 dated January 14, 2023, the brigade was given the honorary name "Edelweiss".
On May 5, 2023, the brigade was awarded the honorary award "For Courage and Courage"
