The 100th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade is a military formation established in 2018 in the city of Volodymyr in the Volyn region. The brigade is an important part of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces.
Formation History:
The brigade was formed in 2018 in Volodymyr, Volyn region. During Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the brigade carried out combat missions on the Lyman axis. On March 30, 2024, the brigade was reorganized into the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Key Battles:
After redeployment to the Donetsk region in April 2024, the brigade took part in battles on the Bakhmut, Kupiansk, Siversk, and Lyman fronts. Notably, its units fought in the Serebrianka Forest in Luhansk region, as well as in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions.
Honors:
On July 28, 2023, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, awarded the 100th Territorial Defense Brigade the honorary distinction “For Courage and Bravery.”
The brigade's commander, Ruslan Tkachuk, was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 2nd Class.
