101st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade

The 101st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade is a formation of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stationed in Zakarpattia region.

History of Formation: The brigade was established in September 2018 as a cadre unit. After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the brigade was mobilized and actively engaged in combat operations.

Key Battles: The brigade’s units have taken part in combat operations in eastern Ukraine, particularly in the areas of Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, and Kupiansk. The brigade also carried out missions to protect Ukrainian airspace — its fighters successfully destroyed several enemy “Shahed” drones.

Awards and Distinctions: For the successful completion of combat missions, including the destruction of enemy drones, the brigade’s soldiers were honored by the command. These awards highlight the high level of training and motivation of the unit’s personnel.
