1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment

The 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment is a young unit, established during the full-scale invasion in January 2023.

The unit is part of the air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The regiment stands in defense of the Ukrainian sky over Kyiv, Kyiv region, and other regions of the country. “Freedom is achieved through victory!” is the official motto of the regiment. In 2024, the regiment’s servicemen and servicewomen took part in the Kursk operation.

In 2025, on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, in recognition of the high professionalism, combat заслуг, courage, and bravery of the personnel, the President of Ukraine — the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — presented the regiment’s commander with the battle flag. The regiment’s core values are brotherhood, development, and family.
