Territorial Defense Brigade of the Regional Directorate "West"
Strong. United. Battle-tested.
On March 1, 2018, the regional military commissioner, Volodymyr Shvediuk, announced that a territorial defense brigade would be established in Bukovyna. Four territorial defense battalions were planned in the main district centers, and one battalion in the city of Chernivtsi. On May 24, 2019, at the “Pryban” military training ground, a Unified Firing Day was held with the participation of the 107th Territorial Defense Brigade. At the end of June 2019, over 150 reserve officers improved their skills in firearms, tactical, engineering, and medical training, and practiced coordination during command-and-staff exercises.
The brigade has been participating in the full-scale war since March 10, 2022, when its individual battalions began carrying out combat missions in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions. Through the efforts of the 107th Brigade, several settlements in Kharkiv region were liberated, including the village of Velyka Komyshuvakha. On December 4, 2022, on the eve of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the brigade was awarded its Battle Flag for the courage and heroism of its servicemen.
