Training center of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
184th Training Center named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi is a structural unit of the National Academy of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The center provides training for servicemen in various specialties to meet the needs of the Ground Forces of the AFU.
Formation History:
The center was established on August 31, 2012, based on a military educational institution in Lviv, through the merger of the Engineering Troops Training Center from Kamianets-Podilskyi, the 180th Training Center for Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops from Kharkiv, and the Topographic Service Specialist Training Division from Shepetivka. The center’s first commander was Colonel Mykhailo Ivasiuk.
Key Achievements:
The center actively cooperates with international partners. In 2017, the sixth cycle of instructor training courses for Ukrainian personnel was completed under the Joint Multinational Training Group – Ukraine (JMTG-U), involving service members of the National Armed Forces of Latvia. In 2018, a training school for anti-tank missile system operators was opened.
Honors:
In 2017, a memorial was unveiled at the center in honor of fallen servicemen Roman Mamasuev and Dmytro Shmatko, who were awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class. During the fifth anniversary of the center’s founding, it was noted that over 60,000 servicemen had been trained during that period.
