20th Operational Assignment Brigade “Liubart”

The 20th Operational Assignment Brigade “Liubart” is a combat unit that has gone through a path from a DFTG formed in February 2022, to a Special Operations Forces unit, then to the 5th Battalion of the “Azov” Brigade, and eventually to one of the brigades of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov.”

Fighters of the Liubart Brigade took part in the liberation of Kyiv region, battles for Bakhmut, Neskuchne, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region, combat operations in the Serebrianskyi forest in Luhansk region, as well as special operations in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

As part of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov,” the brigade’s combat path continues in the Toretsk direction, where the gained experience, high-quality training, and strong motivation of personnel allow it to effectively carry out combat missions.
