Shirokolaniv training ground (also the 235th combined military training ground, and now the 235th interspecies training center for military units and units or simply "Shiroky Lan") is a first-category combined military training ground located in the south of Ukraine - in the Mykolaiv region, at a distance of 40 km from the city of Mykolaiv, 50 km from Mykolayiv airport and 45 km from Kulbakyne military airfield. The Shirokolaniv training ground is one of two in Ukraine (along with Yavorivskyi) that are available for conducting international military exercises. It was repeatedly used as a venue for the ground phase of international exercises "Sea Breeze". The territory is 29,000 hectares. The Shirokolaniv training ground allows you to: tactical exercises with combat firing of mechanized, tank, airmobile troops (up to and including brigades) using artillery, anti-aircraft defense, tactical aviation and fire support helicopters; combat firing from tanks (BMP, APC), artillery, anti-aircraft defense, small arms of all systems and types.
