239 combined military training ground

The 239th General Military Training Ground is located in Dnipropetrovsk region and serves as one of the key training centers for the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is used for personnel training, live-fire exercises, tactical drills, and preparing units for participation in combat operations.

In 2020, a training battalion was established at the training ground, prepared by British instructors under Operation Orbital. This battalion provides training for servicemen in accordance with NATO standards, including pilot projects such as “Leadership Courses” for non-commissioned officers. Training is conducted by instructors from the Desna training center and the training battalion of the range, under the supervision of foreign instructors.

The training ground’s infrastructure is undergoing active modernization. In particular, construction has begun on a permanent brigade camp, which includes new barracks, training facilities, and other buildings to ensure comfortable living and learning conditions for servicemen.
