The 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo (24th OMBr, military unit A0998, item B4680) is a military unit of mechanized troops as part of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, numbering in a brigade. It is based in Yavoriv, Lviv region. It is part of the operational command "West". Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014, parts of the brigade have been involved in many directions of the war in the east. In the summer of 2014, the fighters of the brigade took part in the battles for Liman, Lysychansk, took part in the operation to block the Russian border in Sector D. While blocking the border, on July 11, 2014, the brigade suffered losses during a Russian missile attack near Zelenopilly. In Sector A, units of the brigade fought in Georgiivka and Lutugyny, Novosvitlivka and Khryashchuvaty, near the Luhansk airport. In the fall of 2014, the brigade was involved in heavy fighting in the area of the 32nd checkpoint. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the brigade defended Popasna and Lysychansk, after rotation, the brigade took part in the liberation of the right bank of southern Ukraine. On May 6, 2022, the brigade was awarded the honorary award "For Courage and Courage"
