The 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a unit within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was established in 2016 as a cadre formation but was fully deployed in 2022 following the outbreak of Russia's full-scale invasion.
In 2023, the brigade’s soldiers underwent coordination training at the Rivne training ground.
Combat Path: The brigade's first combat deployment was in the Zaporizhzhia region, taking part in the counteroffensive toward Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. In 2023, alongside the offensive on Robotyne, brigade units also engaged in battles for Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Avdiivka, Piatykhatky, and other settlements.
In 2024, the brigade took over a defensive sector near the city of Kurakhove, fighting for control of Pobjeda, Dalne, Dachne, and continues to hold defensive positions in the same direction.
Over more than two years of war, the soldiers of the 33rd Mechanized Brigade have eliminated thousands of enemy combatants and destroyed hundreds of units of enemy equipment.
