The 4th Tank Brigade was formed in March 2022 and has since been an active participant in combat on some of the most critical frontlines of the war in Ukraine.
On 15 April 2022, the brigade entered Donetsk Oblast and engaged in its first battle in the town of Pisky.
The brigade held defensive positions on some of the most challenging fronts near Soledar, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka, playing a crucial role in the Ukrainian defense. In addition to these defensive operations, the brigade also participated in the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast and Kherson Oblast, contributing to the successful counteroffensives in these regions.
The brigade has been recognized for its outstanding service and contributions to the defense of Ukraine, receiving the award "For Merits Before the 4th Separate Tank Brigade" as a token of appreciation for the bravery and dedication displayed by its personnel.
The 4th Tank Brigade continues to play a key role in the ongoing conflict, maintaining a presence in some of the most contested regions of Ukraine.
