41st Mechanized Brigade

The brigade was established on March 16, 2023, as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' expansion ahead of the anticipated summer counteroffensive. Upon formation, the brigade immediately began training its infantry and tank personnel. In August 2023, the brigade was at the center of a controversy related to the training of its servicemen at NATO training grounds.

Key Battles:

  • Autumn 2023: Participated in the battles for Kupiansk.
  • Spring 2024: Engaged in combat operations in Chasiv Yar.

Awards: Serhii Hvozd — the brigade’s senior sergeant, was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine in 2024.
