The 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol (44 OABr, military unit A3215, item B1428) is a brigade-sized military unit of the artillery forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Place of deployment — Ternopil. The brigade belongs to the operational command "West".
On September 9, 2014, the first order of the commander of the military unit was issued. The artillery brigade was created completely "from scratch" and received, together with the old, restored equipment, a completely new part. The brigade was formed after the beginning of the Russian aggression, in the fall of 2014. Waged battles on Bakhmutka, near Debaltseve. On March 30, 2015, parts of the brigade were withdrawn from the combat zone to the place of permanent deployment.
On February 2, 2021, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Ruslan Khomchak approved the brigade's new sleeve emblem.
On November 3, 2022, the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade was awarded the "For Courage and Courage" medal by decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi
