5th Communication Regiment
The 5th Communication Regimentt was formed in 2015 with over 100 personnel as part of the reform of the Ukrainian Armed Forces following the start of the conflict in the east of the country. The primary mission of the regiment is to ensure reliable communication between units and command, organize communication in field conditions, and integrate modern communication technologies and cybersecurity measures.
Key Operations During combat operations, the regiment has been involved in setting up communication networks in cities such as Chernihiv, Bakhmut, Soledar, Kherson, and Kharkiv. The regiment plays a vital role in providing communication support for forces operating along Ukraine's northern border, which is crucial for coordinating unit actions and ensuring effective command and control over troops.
Recognition Throughout their service, the regiment's soldiers have been awarded state honors and distinctions for their excellence and contributions to the success of military operations.
