The 532nd Separate Repair and Restoration Regiment was established on November 18, 2002. It is designed to perform a variety of technical tasks to support military operations, ensuring the operational readiness of weapons and military equipment through repair, restoration, and maintenance.
Primary Tasks:
- Technical Reconnaissance and Evacuation: The regiment is responsible for technical reconnaissance and evacuation of damaged or malfunctioning weapons and military equipment within the operational areas of military formations. This is critical in maintaining the combat readiness of the armed forces.
- Technical Support and Maintenance: The regiment provides comprehensive technical support, including specialized repairs of missile-artillery systems, armored vehicles, military vehicles, engineering equipment, communications systems, and radioactive, chemical, and biological protection devices.
- Repair Tasks: The regiment handles various levels of repair, including:
- Current and medium repairs of armored vehicles, artillery weapons, and military vehicles.
- Maintenance of communication and measuring equipment, as well as calibration and adjustment of technical devices.
- Material Support: The regiment is also responsible for ensuring the availability of the necessary spare parts and materials for ongoing repairs and maintenance operations, as well as storing military-technical assets required for repairs.
- Field Operations: The regiment plays a key role during the deployment and maneuvering of troops, providing mobile technical support points, and performing evacuation of damaged military assets from combat zones.
- Metrological Support: The regiment is involved in ensuring the metrological standards for military units, including calibration and regular maintenance of measuring equipment.
Key Contributions During Conflicts:
- Since 2014, the regiment has been actively involved in providing technical support as part of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in eastern Ukraine.
- During the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the regiment continued to perform vital tasks such as:
- Repairing and maintaining weapons and military equipment.
- Evacuating damaged military assets from combat zones.
- Supporting the technical logistics of various branches of the military.
Recognition:
In 2021, on the 19th anniversary of the regiment’s establishment, the personnel received recognition from the Commander of the Eastern Operational Command for their excellence in service. They were awarded commendations, honors, and valuable gifts.
