56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade

The 56th separate motorized infantry brigade as part of the "East" OC began formation on February 23, 2015 in Dnipropetrovsk, in accordance with the joint directive of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated December 8, 2014. According to the order of the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff dated May 12, 2015, the management of the 56th Motorized Brigade, combat and rear support units was placed at the disposal of the head of sector "M" on May 14, 2015 for involvement and direct participation in the anti-terrorist operation on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
