The 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, named after Yakov Gandzyuk, is a military unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It was formed after the start of russian aggression in late 2014. The brigade consists of three battalions, specifically the 9th, 10th, and 11th motorized infantry battalions, which were initially territorial defense battalions formed during the early stages of the war. The brigade is named in honor of Yakov Gandzyuk, a prominent Ukrainian military figure from the First Ukrainian War of Liberation.
