93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar"

From the very beginning, he participated in the war in the east of Ukraine with Russia. The units of the brigade went through the fiercest battles of the war, including the battles near Ilovaisk and Donetsk airport. During the war in the east of Ukraine, the brigade suffered the largest losses among the military units of Ukraine: as of the end of 2017, 272 servicemen died in battles. As of the beginning of 2018, more than 1,000 servicemen of the brigade were awarded state awards, among them three received the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia in 2022, the brigade has defended Ukraine in various directions: Sumyshchyna, Kharkiv, Izyum, Balaklia, Bakhmut and Soledar. The brigade bears the honorary name "Kholodnyi Yar" - in honor of the historical area of ​​Dnieper Ukraine, which became famous for its rebels.
