More than UAH 1 million is an important milestone for the “Subscribe to army” project. But for us, it is not only about the amount. It is about the fact that regular support for the army in Ukraine is gradually becoming a habit. A format that recently looked like an experiment is starting to work as a system. In its logic, “Subscribe to army” does not differ from familiar services — subscriptions to video, music, or apps. But in this case, the subscription works to support the army.

How it looks in numbers

As of now, users of the platform have made more than 7,000 contributions, and more than 1,700 people have joined regular support.

Every month, this is more than UAH 230,000 that goes directly to the accounts of units.

It is important that the key role here is played not by the size of the contribution, but by its regularity.

The most common amount is UAH 10. But it is precisely these small subscriptions, when there are thousands of them, that form a stable resource for the army.

This means a simple thing: even a small monthly contribution, at the scale of a large number of people, turns into real support.

What UAH 1 million means

This amount can be translated from numbers into specific things that the military needs:

  • about 285 weeks of communication for units
  • or more than 80 drones
  • or up to 500 first aid kits

For the military, this is not just support — it is predictability. The ability to plan needs and respond more quickly to the situation.

How it works for units

“We are not a media unit and do not have budgets for developing social media. That is why the ‘Subscribe to army’ project became a real find for us. There is no need to invest money here — it is enough just to tell about your unit. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the first funds coming into the account. Now it is already clear that it works — the brigade’s fund is actually being filled,” says Ruslan Tkachuk, Head of the Communications Unit of the 108th Separate Kodatska Territorial Defense Brigade.

Why it matters

The first million is not only a financial indicator. It is about trust and about a change in behavior.

“The first million is about direct support from people to military units. It gives units the opportunity to quickly respond to their most urgent needs and cover what is critically needed right now.

We understand that the war is prolonged and the level of support may fluctuate. But this project is about consistency: even a small contribution makes it possible to regularly support those who protect us,” says Halyna Klempous, Head of the “Subscribe to army” project.

What’s next

The project team continues to develop the platform and looks at it strategically.

“Our goal is for all Defense Forces of Ukraine to be represented on the platform. So that each brigade can talk about its needs, and people can directly support specific units.

And so that support for the army stops being a reaction to a crisis and becomes a habit — as natural as any other monthly subscription,” concludes Halyna Klempous.

How to join

You can join “Subscribe to army” in a few steps:

  • Choose a unit on subscribetoarmy.com
  • Define the contribution amount
  • Choose a convenient frequency
  • Track the results in public dashboards

Regular support is simple. And it is exactly what works in the long run.
