19th Missile Brigade "St. Varvara"

The 19th missile brigade was formed in October-November 1997 on the basis of the Directive of the Minister of Defense dated April 1, 1997 No. 111/1/0116. November 9, 1997 is officially considered the day of creation of the unit. Organizationally, the brigade became part of the 1st missile division of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was formed on the funds of the 19th Zaporizhzhya Red Banner Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov of the II degree missile division from the missile forces of strategic purpose and control of the 43rd Missile Army. In the fall of 1999, the Battle Flag of the 19th Missile Division of the Russian Armed Forces with combat awards — the orders of the Red Banner, Suvorov and Kutuzov II degrees was solemnly handed over to the 1st Missile Division, which included the 19th Missile Brigade.
