Over 100 days, “Subscribe to Army” has shown that supporting the military can be not just a reaction to crisis, but a stable system. During this time, the platform has brought together more than 1,600 subscribers who have made 5,769 contributions totaling UAH 821,792, forming a steady stream of support for military units.
Today, there are 1,063 active subscriptions on the platform, with an average contribution of UAH 210. The most popular amount is UAH 10, while the largest subscription reaches UAH 15,000. These figures demonstrate that systematic support is built not only on large contributions, but also on consistent participation.
“We created the platform as an additional tool to support the defense forces, allowing people to help a specific unit regularly and transparently. The Russian-Ukrainian war has been ongoing for many years, so support for the army must also be systematic. Subscriptions create predictable support for brigades, and for the military, it is also an important signal that society stands with them and supports them every day,” says the author and ideological founder of the “Subscribe to Army” project, Olena Shevtsova.
All contributions go directly to the official accounts of the brigades — without fees or intermediaries. Thanks to public dashboards, subscribers can see in real time how support for each unit is being formed.
Among the brigades that received the most support during this time are the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” (UAH 84,335), the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” (UAH 56,139), and the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after General Viktor Pavlenko (UAH 51,736). At the same time, the platform also enables support for less publicized units, creating a more balanced distribution of assistance.
For the military, the key value of the platform is predictability and the ability to plan supply needs.
“We joined the platform because we realized that one-time large fundraisers are becoming increasingly difficult to close, while predictability is critically important for the unit. ‘Subscribe to Army’ makes it possible to transform one-off assistance into a stable flow of resources and to have a reliable rear that supports not situationally, but systematically.
Regular inflows make it possible to plan purchases in advance and quickly cover current needs — from spare parts and equipment repairs to communication support. When funds go directly to the brigade’s account, we eliminate unnecessary delays and can act оперативно — and this is often critically important.
We are convinced that the more units join the platform, the faster a culture of systematic support for the army will form in Ukraine. This is not only about resources, but also about trust and partnership between the military and society,” comments Rostyslav Hetman, a representative of the communications department of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar.”
At the level of daily operations of the units, this looks like the ability to solve specific tasks here and now — without waiting or uncertainty.
“For us, the most important thing is the ability to plan. When there is regular support, you understand what you can rely on: whether to order adaptive clothing or help the wounded — for example, with the same titanium plates.
In traditional fundraisers, there is always uncertainty: you don’t know when they will close. A subscription changes this — there is an understanding that next month we can afford specific things,” says Nati Hrysko, communications specialist of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign and blogger.
Alongside the development of the technological platform, the project team has launched an educational direction: the first webinar for brigades on effective communication and audience engagement has already taken place.
“Subscribe to Army” helps shift from one-time contributions to регулярність, forming a new culture of support for the military.
You can join the platform in just a few steps: choose a unit on subscribetoarmy.com, select the amount and frequency of your contribution, and track the results in public dashboards.
