“Subscribe to army”: how the system of regular military support works and who is behind its launch

Regular support for the army is something Ukraine has lacked since the first days of the full-scale invasion. Assistance has always been strong, but chaotic: today a fundraiser is closed, tomorrow it is reopened, next week — a new request, and the cycle repeats. But for the army to plan its actions and procurement, it needs stability, and people need a convenient, transparent, and technological tool to help.

That is why volunteers and Ukrainian businesses created “Subscribe to army” — a platform that allows anyone to set up regular support in just two clicks. The project is already operating across the country, and brigades receive predictable inflows directly to their official treasury charitable accounts.

But the most important question many people ask is: Who is implementing this project? How is everything structured legally?

We explain as clearly as possible.

Who is behind “Subscribe to army”

“Subscribe to army” / Subscribe to Army is a social project created by Ukrainian volunteers and entrepreneurs in response to a direct request from the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The initiator is Olena Shevtsova.

The project is implemented on the RAZOM donation platform — an official technological platform owned by the ALL-UKRAINIAN CHARITABLE FOUNDATION “PUBLIC PLATFORM RAZOMUA.”

This foundation:

  • provides the legal structure of the project;
  • signs memorandums with military institutions;
  • administers the technological infrastructure;
  • carries out brigade verification;
  • is responsible for transparency, reporting, and technical support.

In other words, the razom.com domain is the foundation’s platform, and “Subscribe to army” is one of the social projects operating within this system.

Why Ukraine needs “Subscribe to army”

The platform creates the most important thing — a predictable support model that allows brigades to plan procurement instead of waiting for urgent fundraisers. All funds are transferred automatically, without fees or intermediaries.

How it works for people:

  1. Choose a brigade on the platform
  2. Set an amount starting from UAH 10 and a frequency: daily, weekly, or monthly
  3. Track statistics in public dashboards: they show incoming amounts, number of subscriptions, and brigade dynamics

That’s it — support works automatically.

How it works for brigades

For units, “Subscribe to army” is a free technical solution that does not require their own application or separate infrastructure. A brigade simply needs to inform the platform team about its intention to join. After verification, it receives its own page, and all incoming funds are directed straight to its official treasury account. Technical maintenance and support are provided by the project team.

Scaling and ambitions More than 150 brigades have already joined the platform. The goal is to cover all combat units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine by the end of 2026.

The platform operates under official memorandums with:

  • the National Guard of Ukraine,
  • the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,
  • the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The system’s potential is enormous. If only 1% of Ukrainians subscribe with UAH 100, the army would receive UAH 37 million every month — hundreds of drones, communication tools, and equipment purchased in a planned way, not in emergency mode.

Why this matters

Project manager Halyna “Perlynka” Klempous — a Ukrainian military service member, volunteer, and public figure — explains: “Supporting and caring for our military is the foundation of our safe future. Now the country has a tool that makes this support stable.”

“Subscribe to army” is about responsibility that Ukrainians take for one another, and about the infrastructure of trust being built between society and the military.

“Subscribe to army” is a system created by Ukrainian volunteers, businesses, and the Defense Forces to turn support for the army into a regular practice. The project is implemented by the “Public Platform RazomUA” Foundation, and its technological base is the RAZOM donation platform.

This is a tool that can change the economics of supporting the army and make it stable regardless of events and circumstances.
